The network behind the niches

Franchise & licensing

Our titles.Your market.

Every title we run was built to travel. The brand, the format, the studio and the platform already exist. What we look for now is the partner who takes one of them further and runs it as their own.

Why a licence

Starting a media brand from zero takes years. A name nobody knows, an audience that has to be earned one reader at a time, and a stack of tools that somebody has to pay for before the first advertiser calls back.

A licence skips that part. You start with a title the market already reads, a format that has been made before and a team that knows how to make it again. Your job is the part only you can do: know the niche, lead the people and sell what the audience came for.

Day one

What comeswith the title

The infrastructure is the expensive part of media. Here it is already switched on before you sign.

A known brandA name, an identity and a brand book that the niche already recognises.
The formatEditorial line, formats, archive and the playbook that describes how the title is made every week.
Platform and automationsThe publishing stack, the content workflows and the CRM the other titles run on.
Studio and crewRecording support in our studios, with the people who shoot for the other titles.
OnboardingA structured start with our team, so you publish into something that already works.

How to partner

Three waysto own a title

  1. 01

    Run a title

You take over the day-to-day running of one of our titles in its own market: the editorial team, the calendar and the commercial side. We stay behind it with the brand, the platform and the studio.

  2. 02

Take a title to a new market

You bring a title or one of its formats to another country, region or sector, under its own name and with our playbook. Same brand, new audience, run by someone who knows that market.

  3. 03

Build a new title with us

Not one of ours yet? If you own a niche that has no title, we build the brand with you from the first issue. See how that works.

YOUNG.Media brings

  • The brand, the brand book and the right to use them
  • The format, the archive and the editorial playbook
  • The publishing platform, automations and CRM
  • Studio time and production support from our crew
  • Onboarding, training and a team to call when it matters
  • A place inside the wider YOUNG ecosystem

The partner brings

  • Deep knowledge of the niche and the people in it
  • Editorial leadership and a point of view
  • Commercial drive and a network of advertisers
  • A small team, or the will to build one
  • Ownership of the result, week after week
  • The ambition to grow the title in its market

You run the title. You are never on your own.

Who we look for

Made for peoplewho know a market

The journalist who owns a beat. The operator who knows an industry from the inside. The entrepreneur with a network of advertisers and a team that wants to build something of its own.

We look at qualities, values and ambitions before CVs. Experience in media or sales helps. Knowing the niche better than the market does matters more.

Partners can also become shareholders in the wider YOUNG ecosystem. We explain how in the first conversation.

The process

From first callto first issue

  1. 01

    Introduction

A first conversation about you, the title you have in mind and the market you want to take it to.

  2. 02

    Getting to know the title

We open the brand book, the formats and the playbook, so you see exactly how the title is made today.

  3. 03

    The plan

Together we write the plan for your market: audience, formats, team and commercial approach.

  4. 04

    The agreement

We put the partnership on paper, with clear roles for both sides.

  5. 05

    Onboarding

Platform, automations, CRM and studio. Your team learns the system from the people who built it.

  6. 06

    Launch

You publish. We stay close, with the studio, the platform and a team that has done this before.

Questions

Good toknow

Do I need experience in media?

It helps, but it is not the starting point. Knowing the niche, its people and its advertisers matters more. The making of the title is something we teach.

Can I take a title to another country?

Yes. That is the second route. Tell us which title and which market, and we look at it together.

What happens with the current audience and channels?

That differs per title and per route. We go through it in detail when we open the title for you, in step two.

What does a licence cost?

It depends on the title, the market and the route. We share the terms in a personal conversation, not on a website.

Can partners become shareholders?

Yes. Partners can also become shareholders in the wider YOUNG ecosystem. We explain how in the first conversation.
