The news platform for independent thinkers
Young Media has acquired The Post Online (TPO) as of 2024. Steadily and with ambition, we are currently working on repositioning the medium. With a talented team in development, we aim to become the very first 24/7 online news channel in the Netherlands. Keep an eye on our website, subscribe as a member, or sign up for our newsletter to stay informed.
With Young Media’s acquisition, TPO has the opportunity to further strengthen its mission and elevate its journalistic ambitions. In a rapidly changing media landscape, TPO can be even more flexible and responsive to the needs of its audience. The focus is on old-school journalism, emphasizing the ‘who, what, where, why, when, and how,’ adhering to principles of fair hearing and balanced reporting, and presenting well-contextualized facts as neutrally and objectively as possible.
TPO is known for its solid reputation, built over the years, and is committed to continuing to invest in people, news, and strategies that shape the future of digital journalism.
TPO’s vision is to set a standard for journalism that goes beyond the superficial and explores the deeper layers of every story through creative perspectives. With this vision in mind, TPO plans to develop into a Dutch version of CNN or Fox News, focusing on meeting the audience’s needs by providing 24/7 (live) news.
With this new direction, TPO is heading towards a new era of Dutch news provision.
TPO also welcomes Zamire Willems as the new editor-in-chief, bringing a wealth of experience and a fresh perspective. Under her leadership, TPO will build on the strong journalistic principles it has always cherished.
We look forward to this new phase of TPO under Young Media’s wing, continuing our commitment to quality and independent journalism, with a voice that represents a broad range of perspectives.
