Now, as we celebrate the launch of our newly rebranded website, it feels like the perfect time to reflect on what this journey has meant for the people who made it happen.
A Vision Brought to Life
The rebranding was more than a fresh coat of paint—it was an opportunity to express who we are, and where we’re headed. From the very beginning, our Managing Director, Annemarie Van Gerrevink, envisioned a platform that truly embodies our mission to build understanding and connection through storytelling. As she describes: “The most exciting part of the rebranding was the moment when everything came together: the launch of the new website, where we finally got to see how all of our hard work played out in practice. It was thrilling to see our ideas come to life visually and to witness how well the team responded to the final result.”
Annemarie’s vision for this new chapter became a guiding light for the entire team. Her leadership was integral in driving us toward a platform that not only showcases our work but also amplifies the voices of young creators. The website, now revamped with modern aesthetics and functionality, serves as a reflection of her relentless pursuit of growth and connection.
Strategic Leadership and Fresh Ideas
Peter, our Chief Strategy Officer, played a crucial role in shaping the creative and strategic direction of the rebranding. He reflects on the process: “For the rebranding of Young Media, we infused fresh ideas and energy, pushing the boundaries of traditional branding approaches. This creativity is beautifully reflected in innovative design aesthetics, dynamic social media strategies, and compelling storytelling methods.”
Peter’s strategic vision extended beyond the website’s look and feel. He worked closely with the team to ensure that the brand’s identity evolved in a way that would engage audiences, foster deeper connections, and position Young Media as a leader in modern media storytelling. His leadership was essential in weaving together the creative and strategic elements that now define the new brand.
Creative Brilliance Behind the Screens
For Demi, our talented graphic design intern, this project was a chance to push her boundaries and leave a lasting mark on the brand. As she explains: “I have never designed a website myself, and seeing that what you have on your screen is actually being used and that people are genuinely happy with it is something I really enjoyed seeing and doing.”
Demi’s creative work transformed abstract ideas into tangible visuals. From selecting color palettes to refining the overall look, she played an essential role in shaping the visual identity of the new website. It was her attention to detail that helped bring our new digital home to life.
Strategic Storytelling in Action
For Alondra, our media content and concepting intern, the rebranding presented an opportunity to experiment with new ideas and develop skills along the way: “Working on the website, making adjustments, implementing changes, and creating new elements was an exciting experience for me. It not only allowed me to apply my skills but also provided valuable learning opportunities that helped me grow both creatively and technically. I am very happy and proud of our work.”
Her hands-on approach in curating new content and integrating strategic elements into the site ensured that our messaging remains consistent with the bold, innovative spirit of Young Media. Alondra’s contributions have helped bridge the gap between creativity and technical execution.
The Heart of Collaboration
For Esmee, our concept developer, the most rewarding part of the process was working with the team to bring a shared vision to life: “It’s given me the chance to connect with people on a deeper level, aligning our creative ideas with the core values of the brand. The most exciting part would be the collaboration. Working with different people to build a brand that really speaks to who we are today. It’s fun to play around with the new designs, content ideas, and even the overall vibe of our messaging.”
Esmee’s strategic thinking and collaborative spirit were key to ensuring that our brand remained true to its roots while evolving with the new rebranding. Her efforts ensured that every piece of content—from the words on the page to the visuals on the screen—reflected Young Media’s mission and values.
