LUCAS KOPER
Can you briefly describe your academic background?
I have done an MBO course in Account management in Beverwijk and am currently doing HBO Creative Business at Inholland in Haarlem.
What inspired you to pursue a career in media/video/audio production?
I have basically been doing it all my life.
What excites you the most about your role here?
The possibility to be creative and make exciting content.
What do you hope to learn or achieve during your internship?
I hope to learn more about the world of podcast production and how to turn a podcast profitable.
How do you stay inspired and motivated when working on a project, especially when you are stuck creatively?
Usually, I just know from experience that this feeling won’t last forever so I just stick through.
What are some projects you previously worked on that you are particularly proud of?
A previous project that I’m proud of is that I grew a YouTube channel from scratch to 10k a month in one year all on my own.
If you could work on any dream project, what would it be?
I would want to work post-production for a Netflix documentary.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
Working for myself, being financially free, with enough knowledge to never have to do a job I hate again.
What is your favourite song?
Juice WRLD – Legends
Tell us a weird fact about yourself
After basically making shorts all day at my internship I get home and make more shorts for my own projects.
TIJN HITTINGER
Can you briefly describe your academic background?
I am a 3rd-year Creative Business student.
What inspired you to pursue a career in audio production?
I just really love working with sound, so the choice wasn’t that difficult.
What excites you the most about your role here?
Of course, I’m excited to work with sound, but I also appreciate that I’m not limited to just that, and get to explore other creative aspects as well.
What do you hope to learn or achieve during your internship?
I want to improve my expertise and gain real-world experience.
How do you stay inspired and motivated when working on a project, especially when you are stuck creatively?
In my opinion, creativity only comes when things go wrong. It forces you to find solutions and to try things you’ve never done before. Those “things” can be anything for me. Often, it comes down to fiddling around without giving it much thought.
What are some projects you previously worked on that you are particularly proud of?
My latest project is finishing an EP, from which a single will be released online this month.
If you could work on any dream project, what would it be?
A project to make people realize the gift of jazz.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
I hope to be in a place where I can work freely with music.
What is your favorite song?
Tenderly. If I had to choose a recording, it would be the Bill Evans version.
Tell us a weird fact about yourself.
My second name is just a letter.
