At Young Media, we celebrate creativity!

With the Netherlands as the established headquarters of Young Media, adding Spain to the mix was a natural next step. The Spanish city, Valencia, is known for its thriving creative community, entrepreneurial spirit, and sunny climate , elements that perfectly align with Young Media’s vision. We sat down with two key individuals from Young Media to discuss this new journey. Annemarie, the Managing Director of Young Media,  and Priscila, the Head of Business Development. Though they work from different countries, they share the same vision: to inspire, empower, and connect creative minds across borders.

For Annemarie, the expansion presents a valuable opportunity to bring international perspectives into Young Media’s work. With a strategic mindset, she envisions cross-border collaborations that will help the company to reach a broader audience. Meanwhile, Priscila, based in Valencia, is responsible for establishing Young Media’s presence abroad. One of Priscila’s key roles is to build a strong network in Spain, where connecting with entrepreneurs and forming creative partnerships are essential to Young Media’s work and success.

COLLABORATION ACROSS BORDERS
Working across different locations comes with its challenges, communication styles vary and small cultural misunderstandings can be amusing.

Technology also plays a significant role in maintaining a seamless workflow. While video calls and emails keep the team connected nothing compares to in-person collaboration. Visiting each other’s locations allows for a deeper integration of ideas and helps solidify the team’s shared vision.

For Priscila adapting has been an adventure. Starting solo in Spain meant taking a different approach, especially when she needed to forge connections from the ground up. Annemarie on the other hand, values the ability of both teams to work independently while ultimately merging their efforts into something cohesive and impactful.

EXCITING NEW PROJECTS ON THE HORIZON
Young Media has many exciting projects in the works for this year and both Annemarie and Priscila have their personal favorites. For Priscila, the most exciting project is Pauze, a project designed  exclusively for younger audiences. She is passionate about discovering what truly engages the next generation and how to create a magazine that will truly capture their interest. Annemarie’s favorite project, however, is yet to be revealed. While the details remain under wraps, one thing is certain, it’s going to be a game-changer.

A BRIGHT FUTURE FOR YOUNG MEDIA
The expansion of Young Media into Spain marks an exciting step toward international growth, creative collaboration, and fresh opportunities. By connecting different locations, cultures, and perspectives, Young Media is positioning itself as a media company to  keep an eye on. As Priscila aptly put it, “Ultimately, it’s about turning ideas into reality. That’s the most thrilling part of our work.” With Annemarie leading from the Netherlands and Priscila driving media productions in Spain, the future is full of potential.

As Young Media continues to grow, so does its ambition. Stay tuned for more exciting developments, fresh ideas, and groundbreaking projects that will redefine how we create and connect.
